Kisumu-West Constituency
Kisumu west constituency is one of the new constituencies that were created by the interim independent and boundaries review commission in 2010. It is one of the constituencies in Kisumu County.
Geographical Location
The constituency was formed from then Kisumu town west and Kisumu rural constituencies. Kisumu west is strategically located and borders Kisumu central and Kisumu town constituencies to the east and north east, Kisumu east constituency to the north, Seme constituency to the west, Vihiga and Luanda constituencies to the north and north west and lake Victoria to the south, south west and south east.
Size and Population
Kisumu west constituency is approximately 358.7square kilometers with a population of 131,246 as at election date in 2013.
